Sudanese Transitional Military Council members arrive in Addis Ababa
Addis Ababa, April 15, 2019 (FBC) – Members of the Transitional Military Council of Sudan, led by General Galaledin Alsheikh, arrived in Addis Ababa today.
Upon arrival at the Bole international Airport this morning, the delegation was welcomed by Hirut Zemene, State Minister of Foreign Affairs.
General Galaledin Alsheikh on the occasion said the Council is committed to its promise to the people of Sudan by delivering power to them.
He commended Ethiopia’s attention to the developments in the Sudan, and considered it a good indicator of the sustainability of the outstanding and profound relations between the two countries.
The group stressed the stability of the security situation in the country, and said that the Council is fully in its role and started dialogues and meetings with various components of society to choose a Prime Minister.
He called on the African Union and the international community to support the Council to overcome the political and economic difficulties of the country.
Hirut for her part reaffirmed Ethiopia’s support for the military Council to achieve security and stability in the Sudan, stressing Ethiopia’s confidence that the Sudan will come out of this phase more powerful.
