House Speaker receives his New Zeland counterpart
Addis Ababa, April 15, 2019 (FBC) – Speaker of the House of People’s Representatives (HPR) of Ethiopia, Tagesse Chafo today received and held talks with his New Zeland counterpart, Trevor Mallard.
The two Speakers discussed ways to strengthen the inter-parliamentary and the diplomatic ties between the two countries.
They also exchanged views on diverse issues including in the political, socio-economic sectors.
After commanding the ongoing reforms in Ethiopia, Travor pledged support to the reform.
Tagesse for his part welcomed New Zealand’s desire to provide assistance to the reform initiative and invited investors from that country to come to Ethiopia.
During the discussion, Tagesse also expressed Ethiopia’s commitment to regional peace.
