Ministerial Cabinet passes decisions on two draft bills
Addis Ababa, January 12, 2019 (FBC) –The Ministerial Cabinet, in its 61st meeting today, has passed decisions on two draft bills.
First, the Cabinet looked into the draft mining law prepared by the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum to enhance the contribution of the sector to the country’s economy.
After a detailed discussion and with some amendments, the Cabinet accepted the draft bill and referred it to the parliament for approval.
Second, the Cabinet discussed in detail on the bill drafted by office of the federal attorney general to establish a national electoral board with a view to conduct fair, credible and peaceful elections.
After making some amendments, the Cabinet accepted the draft bill and sent it to the parliament for approval.
