Deputy PM Demeke on official visit to Sierra Leone

Addis Ababa, January 12, 2019 (FBC) – An Ethiopian delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Demeke Mekonnen arrived in Freetown yesterday for a two-day official visit to Sierra Leone.

Upon arrival in the capital city, the delegation was warmly received by senior officials of the government of Sierra Leone.

The visit was aimed at strengthening diplomatic and bilateral relations between the two countries.

Following the visit, the two countries are expected to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to cooperate in various sectors.

The Ethiopian Deputy Premier traveled to Freetown at the invitation of President Julius Maada Bio, according to Office of the Deputy Prime Minister.
