Police arrest five leadership of Benishangul Gumuz on suspicion of links to conflicts
Addis Ababa, December 5, 2018 (FBC) – The Federal Police have arrested five senior and middle level leadership of Benishangul Gumuz regional state.
They were detained on suspicion of instigating the conflicts that occurred in Assosa town last June and the recent clash along the borders of the regional states of Oromia and Benishangul Gumuz.
Among the suspects include deputy head of the regional state’s administration and security bureau and former mayor of Assosa town.
The Federal Police also vowed to consolidate its efforts of arresting more suspects.
