Ethiopian FM, Eritrean Ambassador discuss bilateral relations
Addis Ababa, November 8, 2018 (FBC) –Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr Workneh Gebeyehu, today received credentials of Eritrean Ambassador to Ethiopia, Semere Russom.
On the occasion, the two sides exchanged views on recent rapprochement between the two countries, according to office of Spokesperson Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia.
Stating that the relations between the two countries are gaining momentum, Dr Worken hoped that the ambassador will further elevate the ties to a new height during his tenure as ambassador to Ethiopia.
The Foreign Minister also underscored the need to give a special place towards bolstering border trade and people-to -people relations between the two countries.
The efforts made for the lifting of the sanction imposed on Eritrea is bearing fruit, he said, adding Ethiopia will continue to optimize its efforts until the sanction is lifted.
Ambassador Semere for his part pledged to do his level best to strengthen the relations between the two nations.
