Ethio Telecom begins airtime credit service

Addis Ababa, September 1, 2018 (FBC) – Ethio Telecom announced that it has begun airtime credit service (ACS).
ACS creates the convenience and flexibility for customers to use telecom service while their balance is low, no balance or do not have money and time to buy voucher card at the moment, it said on Facebook.
To access the service, Customers are required to send a request via SMS using one of the key words (A, L, or C) to 810 and follow the instruction, it added.
Airtime advance service will be available to activate prepaid customers only, and the borrowed credit can be used like a usual recharge to make voice calls, purchase data of SMS bundles, use value added services of transfer balance to another subscriber.
Subscribers who have been on the Ethio Telecom network for a minimum period of 1 month and minimum top-up/consumption of 30 birr of airtime per month are eligible for the service.
Airtime credit service is available for customer starting with a minimum of 5 birr to maximum of 100 birr. Customers will be charged on their next top-up.
Subscribers can borrow as many times as they like provided they have cleared all previous debt.
