2015 E.C a year of remarkable achievements: GCS
Addis Ababa, August 31, 2023 (FBC) – The Government Communication Service, in a press briefing, stated that Ethiopia has registered remarkable achievements that changed its history during the concluding 2015 E.C.
Best experiences that were garnered in the wheat production sector remain exemplar for the major accomplishments the nation made in the face of various tribulations, State Minister for GCS, Kebede Desisa said, during the briefing. He cited the success as a concrete evidence that Ethiopia is in a position to realize its prosperity.
The concluded year has seen the end of the destructive conflict in the north through peaceful dialogue, Kebede said, adding that the Peace Agreement has rescued Ethiopia from a risk of disintegration.
Ethiopia has carried out successful diplomatic engagements that elevated nation’s role in international, continental and regional levels during the concluding year, the State Minister noted.
Kebede mentioned entry of Ethiopia into the BRICS economic bloc as one of the major outcomes of nation’s successful diplomatic engagements during the concluding year.
2015 E.C has been the year the first round of the Green Legacy Initiative was concluded gracing the nation with many aspects, he said.
Kebede cited inflation, unrest in different parts of the country and maladministration as challenges the nation faced during its concluding year, pledging government’s commitment to address these problems during the upcoming 2016 year.
